This past weekend was the Werdel's annual easter egg hunt. Gabby and I colored and decorated 18 eggs and they sparkled with all the glitter we used! The Werdel's do such a wonderful job with this party. It was the day before St. Patrick's Day so Lilly was our good luck charm while Gabby wanted to dress in a flower easter dress. Lilly got the hang of hunting for eggs and Gabby was determined to find one of the four golden eggs. Two times we were right next to the perso that found them...but we did not. It is a hard lesson and one that we are teaching her - we don't always win. A few tears later, we were back to loving the party. It was amazing how much she understood this year about the golden eggs and how hard she looked for them. Fun to watch the kids grow and change each year. Gabby participated in the egg on a spoon race as well. Lilly just sat in the grass and ate goldfish and went down the slide.
This was the second party of the day since we had an incredible party at the park in the morning. Both girls were partied out - or maybe it was the parents that were!
