We took a girls trip to San Diego this past weekend. We had a blast! We hit the zoo and saw all the babies at the zoo (giraffes, hippos, jaguar's), enjoyed the walking and the cool weather. The weekend started with a trip to the zoo and then it rained. The girls were so happy to see the rain and were content to hang in the hotel room that before we knew it, the day was over. Lilly woke up from her nap with the beginnings of an eye infection so we made a quick stop at Urgent Care but it was a fast and painless trip that was well worth the hour it took. Sunday was full of zoo, then the beach followed by the Midway and dinner at the Fish Market. I think Grandma Debi was ready for bed that night - and the fact that she scraped her shin pretty good at the beach didn't help :) Monday Gabby and I spent over 4 hours at doctor appointments and she did an amazing job. Eye pressure is good, got a new prescription for glasses and we will go back in 6 mos to see if they are helping...if not, another surgery will be needed. I promised her she could hit the beach one more time - it was amazing weather and she spent the whole hour in the water. She loves to boogie board and body surf and is pretty good at it. She loves to wave dive and is incredibly brave. Lilly got on the boogie board and enjoyed riding the rocket sled as well. The water is warming up and it was a great trip.
