A Fun Day in LA

We got out of the cold fog and went to LA for the day. Started off at the Queen Mary but we were a little early so we went over to the Aquarium.  The girls loved feeding the birds and having them sit on their heads and shoulders.  The Sea Lions are always a hit.  We then headed up to Santa Monica and went to the beach.  It was so warm and incredible! Gabby was in the water in no time.  Lilly eventually got all wet and I did my best to keep Maddy dry.  A very fun day and a great day trip!

Tea Party with Elsa

All the girls enjoyed a tea party with Elsa over the weekend...a lot of "Chiefs" at this tea party!

Getting Better on Ice Skates

Gabby went to a birthday party at the ice skating rink this Saturday.  I am posting this because she was fiercely independent and she was able to skate on her own! So proud of her and her spirit.

Proud Mama

Report cards came out last week.  I couldn't be prouder of both of my girls!  Lilly has made huge improvements since her last report card and Gabby has continued to enjoy school.  I am just so proud of both girls and this reflects their hard work!

Maddy the Magician

Lilly and Gabby love to play dress-up.  Maddy has decided to join in the fun.  The other morning, this is what she came out of Gabby's room wearing and she put it on all by her self!  My goodness, I am amazed at how much she understands and does...she has also decided that she can sit in a chair just like her sisters - and no longer needs a "chair".  The bad part is that we can no longer strap her in and she is up and down all dinner time.

Frozen!

My work gave us tickets to the Condors game and guess who was there??? Yep - Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Sven! The girls got pictures with all of them (I thought the reindeer were cool).  We had a great time at the game and the tickets are fantastic! The girls got to see the action up close and personal. Maddy was there and saw all the action but wanted no part of getting near Elsa and Anna....

Catching up....

Time goes by so fast...A couple of weekends ago Gabby went for a hike with her friends Sabir and Scarlett out at Hart Park.  They were looking for fun things and ran into a bobcat!  Thank you to Kim for taking Gabby while I got some work done at the house and glad that the munchkins got to run around together.  Lilly has been making sand soup in the back yard and takes it very serious. Maddy has been officially become a toddler!  She had a good time at John's Incredible Pizza and loved riding the mini-carousal.  She is also enjoying going to storytime with Cheyenne. Gabby is once again taking ballet and loves it.  Every Friday she makes sure to remind me to pack her clothes...like I would forget!  Lilly and Gabby area also taking swim lessons on Wednesdays and are really enjoying that as well.  Lilly is doing flips in gymnastics - why am I not surprised that she loves this as well??

Lilly's First Day of Gymnastics

We are getting the girls involved in all kinds of activities...which keeps all of us hopping!  Gabby is doing swim and dance (and begging for horse back riding to continue) and Lilly is doing swim and gymnastics - different days! YIKES!!!  Lilly's first day of gymnastics was a hit.  She loved it and can't wait to go back.  Maddy went and observed and she will be there soon I am sure.  Wish us luck with a very hectic schedule - which would not be possible without our wonderful helper Cheyenne - she helps make this all possible!

A trip to San Diego

We started the new year off right with a trip to San Diego.  It was incredible weather and a wonderful time.  We did the zoo and had very good animal experiences - some of the best we have had!  We went to the beach, Ocean Air Park, the zoo at night and looked at lights, and the USS Midway.  It was a full 2 days and the girls had a blast.  They really enjoy these trips and that helps make the work involved worth it.  Maddy is no longer a baby....she is hanging with the big kids and walked a good portion of the zoo. Amazing what a difference a year makes!

Long Beach Aquarium

Over the holiday weekend we hit the road! We went to the Long Beach Aquarium which was excellent!  It was fantastic weather and a nice change of pace.  The girls loved the sea lions, tuna and sharks.  We also saw penguins, HUGE sting rays and seals.  We didn't even make it through the whole place but we will be back!
