Gabby's 5th Birthday Party was a success. We had several kids from her class come as well as other friends. Gabby and I baked her birthday cake together and then when she informed me that she wanted a Hello Kitty cake - I broke into a cold sweat. This is what we came up with together and the best part is that we did it together and it was pretty tasty! We had a magician come and perform some magic tricks for the kids and the adults - he was a hit. He was great with the kids and they especially loved getting balloon animals. Gabby picked out her outfit for her party and was the queen of the party.
There was only one minor mishap when the magic show started, Lilly was playing and fell off something (nobody actually sa what happened) but she certainly was not happy. I got her and she had a bloody mouth...which is always a little scary but luckily it was just a fat lip which was easily remedied with some cake and ice cream. I'm still not sure what she was more upset about...the hurt lip or when I tried to take her inside away from the party! She bounced right back and had a great time at the party. All the kids were well behaved and had a lot of fun.
It is hard for us to believe that Gabby is 5! Where has the time gone? Gabby is doing well in kindergarten and we are very pleased with how she is doing. We feel very lucky and blessed to have her as our oldest daughter and she is so good with sharing and being a good example for her sisters. Gabby plays with Madeline while she is on the floor and it is precious to watch her interact. Gabby and Lilly are the best of friends and if one gets in trouble, the other starts crying because their playmate is in time out and cannot play with them for a short time.
We went up to the farm yesterday since it is such nice weather and celebrated again with some of my family members. The girls enjoy going to the farm and seeing the animals. It was a great weekend - Happy Birthday Gabriella - mom and dad love you so much.
