The Adventures of Lilly
Lilly has been enjoying coloring with the dry earse pens. These are great and are easy to remove...until it is on the wall! We think Lilly is a lefty but there is still a chance that she could pick her right hand, we think it won't happen. Blue is her favorite color.
Maddy's Tummy Time
Maddy continues to do well with her tummy time. She is very animated and is making all kind of sounds. She is a drooler like Gabby was and my guess is that she will be an early talker. She is growing and her favorite place is the bjorn with dad. She smiles whenever her sisters are near her and they give her lots of love. Lilly has really started to show Maddy affection which is very sweet.
Trip to the Farm
We had a fun weekend. Lots of activity. On Saturday I took Gabby and Lilly to the farm for a horse back ride. As I was catcing and saddling the horses, they went and visited Grandma Winnie. We then all went for a horse back ride and Gabby got to ride Morning Glory all by herself! It was more stressful for me because the horse I was on kept trying to kick Morning Glory and so it made it dangerous for the kids. I ended up walking a lot of the way...in 100 degree weather! Lilly continues to love to ride. She can go for hours. Lilly is still warming up to Freckels. He is the friendliest dog but is big and strong. After riding, we went to Grandma Debis and the girls cooled off in the front yard with the hose and a pool. Then lunch and playing with cousin Heston. At about 3:45 - everyone was ready for a nap so I packed up the car and we headed home....we got 10 min down the road and discovered that we had forgotten Katie and had to turn around for her. The things we do for our kids! Sunday was an playdate with the Klass family. Scarlett got to stay and she and Gabby were in the pool all day. It was a great weekend.

Bigler Girls
Time goes so fast...Gabby is in Kindergarten, Lilly is now a full blown toddler and Maddy is rolling. I had a rare moment this morning and was able to capture all 3 girls in 1 spot at the same time. Lilly has Gordon's apptitude towards picture taking.............. We have had a full couple of days but everyone is surviving. Gabby is tired at night with no naps at school. Which is good and challenging for us right now. We are getting over the end of summer cold that Lilly and Maddy had and that is nice. Gabby is really enjoying the pool and can safely swim on her own. Lilly has learned how fun it is to jump into the pool (but only if dad is waiting for her in the water) but is also enjoy playng in the big bath tub upstairs. Lilly is our climber and nothing is off limits but with that comes some tough falls. She fell off the arm of the couch 2 nights ago and hit her head pretty hard. It seems that she always has a bruise on her face - I just hope her brain is protected really well! Maddy gets a bath every couple of days...but that seems to be enough - no more neck rash, heat rash, thrush or yeast infections! She is growing and the pack-n-play will not last a whole lot longer. I think it is time for a real crib! She still enjoys being swaddled but is sleeping very well (91/2 hrs last night!!). All in all, we are doing well. We hgave adjusted to me going back to work, Gabby starting Kindergarten, a new nanny and all the fun that happens in between.

Last Blast of Summer
We thought that since we had such a good trip to San Diego the first time that we would try it again for our last vacation before I head back to work. We had a fabulous trip. The zoo is always a wonderful experience. We took our first Skyfari ride, had a great Rhino sighting, best Zebra stop and a pretty good Panda. There was a lot of beach this trip and I didn't get one picture....the Rocket Sled was out in full force and was going very fast. Gabby is truly a natural in the water. Lilly is still getting used to the feeling of the sand under her feet and the waves. Maddy slept through most of it but loves the bjorn which is good for us! We also went to the Del Mar Races this trip and the girls had a great time. Lilly was running on fumes and got frustrated that she couldn't ride the horses....but we did it and it was fun.
Heston's First Birthday Party
Baby Heston turned 1 and we had a BBQ at the farm to celebrate. The girls went straight to the farm to ride Morning Glory and had their first ride together. How lucky are these girls??? I don't have any pictures of the party because unfortunately it is true...when you have more than 1 kid you don't have time to take as many pictures. I did catch Lilly playing with her cousin Gracie in the kiddie pool - they are about the same size and enjoy playing together.
Lilly Enjoying the Big Bath
Lilly has been enjoying our bath tub while I take a shower. I had to think of a way to keep her occupied and I have just accepted the clean-up mess that comes after she is in the bath. If you notice, she has a black eye and a bruised cheek and the bruise on her forehead. She is a tough and tumble girl! She fell at the farm and the chair hit her forehead and then the next day she tripped and hit her cheek and eye on the coffee/train table. Both of the older girls are tough!
Play Date at the Water Slide
Gabby and Lucas had a grand time at the water slide the other weekend. Gabby swam the whole length of the pool on her own - without any prodding from me. When I asked her why she did it, she told me that she was practicing so she would be a good swimmer and maybe one day be able to do a race :) She is a very good swimmer. As you can see by the last picture - she was all tuckered out. This happens less and less these days...Gabby will be starting Kindergarten in a couple weeks!! Where does time go?
Maddy's All Smiles
I don't think there is any question that Maddy is doing better on formula. She is sleeping 8-9 hours at night and looks like this a lot of the time. She is a happy baby and smiles a lot - thank goodness!
Lilly's First Horseback Ride
I took Lilly up to the farm for her first horseback ride. She LOVED it. She did not want to get off and was not frightened at all. She cannot say the word "Horse" so she will just say "neigh". I have heard it a lot lately....she looks at all the horse books we have all the time.
Lilly and Maddy
As I mentioned, I cannot turn my back for a second without Lilly finding mischief. I left the room for just a second and came back to find her on the counter playing with the ipad....
Maddy is doing great with her tummy time. She is also able to wiggle her self out of the swing. She has not fallen out yet but it could happen very soon. She is a happier baby now that we have switched to formula. It broke my heart that she could not handle my milk but such is life - I'd rather have a happy and peaceful baby! She is now back on track and gaining weight nicely.
First Family Vacation
It has been so hot in Bakersfield that we all needed a break. We thought we would try our first vacation with three kids. I was scared but it worked out perfectly. We did the zoo, went to the beach and just enjoyed warm - but not hot weather. We also introduced the Rocket Sled. We took the snow sled to the beach. Gordon would pull Gabby on the sled and they would get going really fast. This video is one of the slower ones...Gabby loved it! Lilly loved seeing the animals at the zoo and Gabby is now old enough to walk the whole thing. The girls had a wonderful time and by the picture of Lilly - got tuckered out!
Gabby and Lilly
Gabby and Lilly love to sit in Grandma Debi's chair. They sit together and watch Dinosaur Train - they truly enjoy hanging out together.
Gabby's First Airplane Ride
Gabby had her first airplane ride! She is holding her boarding pass :) It was a small private plane that she got to fly around Bakersfield and she even got to steer! She was so excited. I don't have a picture of the plane and blame Gordon for failing to snap one - oh well...
Summer Fun
It has been a hot July! Clothes are optional at our house...between the sand and the pool! The girls enjoy the warm evenings and jumping in the pool with dad. Maddy keeps growing!
