Bigler Girls
How lucky could we be? I love this picture. Lilly loves Gabby and Gabby loves Lilly. They entertain each other constantly and I love it!
Lilly's First Trip to the Pool
It was a perfect weekend in Bakersfield - warm but not too hot. Lilly had her first trip to the pool on Saturday. She really enjoyed the water and I'm sure it is the first of several trips this summer.
Lilly's hair is getting so long in the front that I am pretty sure I am going to need to cut it. It is hard to believe that she is not even 6 mos and I need to cut her hair! She is doing a great job with eating. She has had carrots, pears, applesauce and bananas. I have made the decision that the magic bullet is the best baby food maker! All of her food has been homemade so far - and I think I can make it happen this time. I told Gordon that now we have food in our refrigerator - making baby food is not that hard. With Gabby, we didn't eat the way we do now so making food seemed a lot harder. How kids change ones life...
Gabby was showing her how to use her big kickers and strokers - and can't wait until she can swim with her. Gabby had a full day yesterday - tennis, bike riding, park, reading, swimming and dinner with Granparents. Great Sunday!

After School Treat
Grandmother Ann picked Gabby up from school on Thursday and took her to get an ice cream cone at Dewar's (they opened an express one right down the sreet) for being Student of the Day. On Friday when Gandmother Ann picked Gabby up, the first thing she asked was if they were going to get an ice cream cone? Somehow she talked her into it....2 days in a row! What a lucky girl!!
Lilly has Spirit Day
Thursday Lilly was sent home with a t-shirt from her school - Friday is spirit day. The shirt was a little too big for her to wear but it is a nice color of blue.

Getting Ready for the Dance Recital
Here are pictures from last night. We had a dry run on the costume, make-up and hair. I am not sure I'm cut out to be a "Dance Mom". Gabby had a ball...and as we were leaving the dance studio she told me that when she is a little older that she wants to take 2 dance classes....

Lilly's First Real Laugh
What parent wouldn't love to hear and see this? Lilly was sitting in the bumbo last night and Gabby started waiving her pom pom. All of a sudden, I hear a Lilly laughing! This was the first "real" laugh that I have heard from her. It warmed my heart that it was with Gabby. Gabby had so much fun once she realized she could make Lilly laugh and that she was watching her. It was the first time that she felt like she was "playing with her". And of course, the hugs and kisses are always sweet.
Tonight Gabby has her dance recital pictures - I'll try to grab a few pictures. Stay tuned....

Lilly's First Meal
The reality that Lilly needs more than my milk to keep her tummy full hit full force last week. Lilly has been reaching for our food for a few weeks so I thought I'd try some rice cereal to see how it went. First day she didn't care for it too much but by the second day, she loved it. She opens her mouth and grabs the spoon and puts it in her mouth! She eats cereal 2-3 times a day and is still nursing me! I am not sure how much more milk I can make...I need to refresh my memory on this phase but I know Lilly is gaining weight like crazy. So proud of my little girl yet a little sad because it means that she's not so little any more...
