Ann watched Lilly on Monday for a couple of hours and she got to hang out with Lee and Rory. They sat on the kitchen floor and read books to her. She enjoyed it and was very attentive. Both boys are very sweet to all the girls and are great cousins.
We have created this blog for our loved ones so that they can follow the growth and development of our precious daughters, Gabriella, Lillian & Madeline. We hope that you enjoy it and please feel free to forward it to anyone that you feel may want to follow our lives. With Love, Kandiss & Gordon

Fathers Day
We went to Ann and Russ's for Father's Day for a nice family dinner. This is a rare family picture...they get harder and harder to coordinate. Lilly was eating homemade ice cream with Grandfather Russ and was LOVING it! We had a nice dinner and the enjoyed an evening with family.

Gabby's Dance Recital
Madeline's first pair of sunglasses
These pink glasses have belonged to Gabby, Lilly and now Maddy. Maddy was out for a morning walk with dad in the bjorn.
Post bath...happy girl!
A Snack After Swimming
Grandfather Russ came to watch Gabby's swim lessons the other day and brought her favorite snack...graham crackers and milk! What better way to recover after swim lessons than to have a snack in the shade? Lucky girl!
Happy Father's Day
Madeline was taking a nap...but a morning walk with his girls was just what dad wanted. Where was the destination??? To the clubhouse for ice of course! Gabby has gotten very good at riding her bike and is almost ready to ride it all the way to Dewars for ice cream!
Maddy's Tummy Time
Maddy loves tummy time - crazy I know. She is doing a up to 20 minutes at a time already and has even fallen asleep when doing tummy time!
Summer Swimming
Both girls have been enjoying summer swims. Gabby is taking swim lessons with Jan Graves (another Bigler tradition) and is doing well. She practices her "big arms quietly" all the time at home and is learning a racing dive. Lilly has been swimming in the afternoons with mom or dad and is really enjoying the water. Lilly and Gabby have a lot of fun playing together in the afternoons...from the sand pit to the swings to finger painting and chalk drawing - the girls are good friends.
Madeline's 1 Month Check-Up
Madeline is growing! At her 1 month check-up she had gained over 2 lbs and grew over 2 inches!! We have discovered that she has a lactose tolerance issue and so we are trying digestive enzymes every time we feed her and they seem to be helping (mom is very happy for this). Her hair continues to stick straight up and is very light compared to her sisters hair at this age. She is sleeping well and is smiling and making different sounds. Her pediatrician is Dr. Rao and we really like her.

Gabby's Swim Lessons
Today was Gabby's first day of swim lessons. We are doing 30 minutes a day for 2 weeks with Jan Graves. Gabby didn't want to stop swimming when the lesson was over! She gets to get out of school at 11:15 for her lessons and has lunch with Grandmother Ann - these are great memories for sure!
Lilly and her Books
Did I mention that Lilly LOVES books? She is able to point to different animals and makes their sounds. She can also point to different body parts in a book and on herself. She is starting to have a couple more words...but her comprehension is incredible. She knows what we are saying and can follow directions (when she chooses to) very well.
Madeline is 4 Weeks!
It is hard to believe that it has only been 4 weeks since Madeline was born - time goes faster and faster. I could not wake her up from such a peaceful sleep...how cute is she! Her legs are filling out and I have to really clean in between her rolls! She continues to be a good eater and is sleeping longer and longer at night time!!!!!!
Puzzle Fun
Lilly is getting really good at puzzles. She loves this animal puzzle and says the animal sounds as she puts the pieces in. Puzzles run in the family...they are one of my favorite ways to spend some down time (which I no longer have any of!) :)
Getting Ready for Dance Recital #2
Gabby had dane recital pictures on Saturday. Grandmother Ann was able to take her which was very helpful. Gabby looked beautiful and was hamming it up for the camera! The recital is June 22 at 12:00 and then we are going to take the summer off from dance...we are giving soccer a try!
Friends on a Friday
Little Red was closed on Friday so I took Gabby, Madeline and 2 of Gabby's friends to the farm for the day. I think I'm crazy with 2 trips to the farm in 5 days! Gabby and her friends had a great time seeing all of the animals, riding Morning Glory and they even got an individual ride in the big red tractor with Grandpa Dale. We cooled off in the sprinklers, had some lunch and homemade ice cream and then headed home. All the kids slept like logs during the car ride home :)
Lilly got to spend the afternoon at Grandmother Ann's house. She ate a lot of raisins and had several books read to her.
Activities
The girls are staying busy! No school on May 27th so I took them to the farm for the day. Gabby had a great ride on Morning Glory even though the wind was blowing (and not just a little). Madeline has been doing tummy time. She really does a great job for only being 4 weeks old. Lilly took an incredible 31/2 hour nap at the farm....she NEVER sleeps that long at home! I had tied Morning Glory up in the front drive-way because I was hoping to give Lilly her first horse back ride...but I could not wake her up from her nap so by the time I took Morning Glory home, she had pawed a HUGE hole. I did try to fill it in but my dad had someone finish the job :) I'll just have to take Lilly back and do the animals another day...
Lilly has been biting kids at school. Not sure why other than if she wants something they have or they take something she has, she bites them. The other day she bit a kid for no reason. We are trying to curtail this behavior bit it is not that easy. Then Lilly comes home with this shiner on her eye! Nobody knows what happened or how she got it but she has a swollen left eye and it turned black. Ouch!!!!
The Girl's
Maddy is growing daily. I took her in for a quick appointment and she has already gained 2 lbs in less than 1 month!!! She is filling out and is doing a lot of tummy time :)
Gabby and Lilly love to play in the new sand box under Gabby's playhouse. They really like the water part of making sand pies. We try to keep them covered as much as possible in the sun but both end up pretty red at the end of the day. I've eaten more sand stew this summer than I ever dreamed of...
Lillybug
Lilly is growing up so fast. She hangs pretty tight with her sister. We enjoy going for walks in the morning down to the clubhouse to get ice. The ice is a treat and Lilly will not let the cup go once she has it...even when she is sound asleep!
Lilly is really into books right now. She is learning all about animals and body parts. This is a picture from an evening last weekend - it is warm here and the girls are enjoying the warmer evenings!
This is Lilly on her slide. Both girls got new play sets for the summer. Lilly's is under the porch while Gabby's is too big and is in the back corner of the yard (see earlier post). Lilly has had a few good tumbles off her slide but she is a trooper. She gets up and down just fine on her own - we did put a mat at the bottom so that she had a softer landing - concrete can be so hard!
Gabby's First Camping Trip
Gabby got to go on a camping trip with Grandma Debi and a class of 5th graders from South Fork School. May 18-19. She went to Troy Meadow in the high country and went on a hike, made bread, played by the river, went looking for arrowheads, had a camp fire, sang songs, etc...What a great experience and a lucky girl to get to have this experience. Charlie Gregory has been the 5th grade teacher at South Fork for years and is retiring this year. Every year she goes on a camping trip and this year she let my mom and Gabby go as well. Gabby also bonded with Charlie's dog Sedona....
Visit From Great Grandmother Winnie
Madeline was fortunate to have a visit from her great grandmother Winnie and her Aunt Kathleen. It was a lot of fun to have them come all the way from Weldon to see her and spend some quality time with her before she fell asleep.
