2012 Kern County Fair

Grandma Debi and I took Gabby to the fair this weekend. We left Lilly at home since she was so sick. Gabby had a great time petting all the animals and interestingly enough, the animal that she kept asking for were the pigs! It was a show day so we got to get up close and personal with the pigs headed to the show pen. Gabby had a great time and had her first corn dog. So many things have changed and look different but so many are still the same. She walked a long way...and mom was tired! We still had a wonderful time.

Two Happy Girls

Gabby and Lilly enjoy playing in her room. Gabby plays with her horses and Lilly pulls every part of the dollhouse out to eat. I get to clean up the mess :) It is nice that they play well with each other and like to be around each other. What a lucky mom.

Happy Girl

Lilly is a happy girl. She has her 2 bottom teeth now and is into mischief all the time. She has found the pantry! She loves to open and close the door. She also loves Monty. If he is in the house on his pillow - she is right next to him. We are lucky that Monty is so good with the kids - he eats the grass and patio furniture but those are small things...at least I try to remind myself.

Family Day at the Pool

What a fun day at the pool yesterday! Dad went swimming with both girls. Lilly really enjoyed the water. Gabby was teaching Barbie how to swim - clothing was optional (for all the girls). Gabby is really swimming well. She likes to race Gordon to the deep end...amazing!

Our Cinderella

No, it's not Halloween....just playing dress-up. Gabby got a Cinderella outfit and had the best time playing dress-up this weekend. One small thing to her version of Cinderella, she was telling the mean step-mother that she was going to the ball because she had to marry her prince. Too funny. Lilly loved the dress as well. One must note the pink glass slippers and blue gloves to match her blue dress. She aslo told me her hair was not as yellow as Cinderella's but that it would be OK for now.

Birthday Time

Gabby was invited to Mustafa's birthday party and really enjoyed the slide, the kids from school and the cake and ice cream! She is friends with Sabir (pictured) from school. Best part of the party was that it was down the street and we got to ride our bike...we are gearing up for Gabby's birthday!

Lilly at School

Lilly will be 9 months this week! Hard to believe....Here she is at school, playing, crawling and having a good time. Ann was able to visit her a couple times last week and read her some stories - lucky girl! I may have to do something with her hair....finally!
