A few recent pictures

Gabby has been out and about. She continues to improve on her pedaling skills and rarely wants the "little kid" swings. The scooter shown here is a work in progress.

Gabby learned a hard lesson last night...it is inevitable that kids will shut the door on their fingers but it still does not make it any easier when that actually do it. I was taking her to the car to get her presents that I had picked up for her and she was so excited. She ran out to the garage with me and I thought she had taken her hands out of the door, so I let it go. I quickly learned that was not correct. A bag of ice and lots of kisses later - we were all better :)
Other gabby news - she is on a milk binge. All she wants to eat or drink is milk! She will be starting school in a couple of weeks and I am sure she will do well. Talking up a storm. Attached to barbie. Decided to pour a large amount of bath water onto the bathroom floor.........Will not stay in her bed overnight, loves the treadmill (walked over a quarter mile on it), wants to fingerpaint 2-3 times a day and is experimenting with jumping off the ottoman.

All in all - Gabby is great and we are looking forward to Halloween.

Gabby at the zoo

This is current...Gabby is at the zoo now.
Our child gets up close and personal with many animals that other kids only get to see in books. We are very fortunate!

Frightening!

OK...this is a video I took on Saturday. It is very scary. Gabby watched Gordon and her cousin Rory dive into the pool at Grandmother's house and has decided that she wants to do it as well. Only problem is she does it on the steps! This video does not do this justice. We have been yelling "NO" everytime so she hesitates a little now. When you don't say anything she literally flies into the middle of the pool or jacuzzi and trust me - it is frightening! She also loves it! She also jumps off into the deep pool so pool time with Gabby is really a workout for us (running between the different pools). We do not set a good example for other kids at the pool.

More Pumpkin Patch pictures

Gabby rode the carousel so long that I got dizzy and Gordon took over...until we were both dizzy and sick!

Pumpkin Patch

This was Gabby's first trip to the pumpkin patch. It is more like a carnival...and Gabby loved the swing ride, bounce house and the petting farm. She went back and forth between the goats and the bunnies all night. She chased the ever elusive chicken as well! She kept asking to ride the horse and we put her on the carousel but she wanted a real horse :)) We have more tickets so I think we will go back another evening. It is a great family event and a lot of fun.

Gabby & Grandparents

Gabby had a lot of fun running around the grass and hunting for dogs at Del Mar beach with Grandmother Ann & Grandfather Russ. Ann was put to work this trip with a LOT of reading :)
