Then we got out the very nice boots that Katrina gave her and she was walking around like a big girl! Gabby loved the sound they made on the kitchen floor. You really must know that these boots are HUGE on her feet still - it was so funny to watch her walk in these (she has been practicing with my high heels)!
We have created this blog for our loved ones so that they can follow the growth and development of our precious daughters, Gabriella, Lillian & Madeline. We hope that you enjoy it and please feel free to forward it to anyone that you feel may want to follow our lives. With Love, Kandiss & Gordon

Pink Toes & Cowboy Boots
Gabby was into art today. Not only did she get to finger paint in the kitchen, paint the cupboards, stick stickers all over the house and make a bee puppet at arts & crafts - she got to paint her toes! She loved it :)

Gabby and Peter
We are finally getting the weather that we all love! It has been absolutely beautiful - 80 and sunny. We had a full weekend! Gabby had both of her cousins, Rory and Lee visiting all weekend! They brought their dog Peter with them and Gabby was in dog heaven! She chased Peter around the house and was the only one who could take him for walks (even though she was so tired that she couldn't keep walking). Gabby had a late night at the beach on Friday and even though we didn't plan on getting in the ocean....she did! Then Saturday we went back to the ocean for a couple of hours and she saw her first crab! She loved getting buried in the sand but her favorite part was running around naked after we got her all rinsed off! Saturday afternoon Gabby built this elaborate fort with Rory and Lee and had her own playroom inside the fort (stocked with her favorite animals, books, legos and ribbons). Sunday we went to church (she is a big girl now and doesn't mind cry when we leave her in the playroom) and then we went to the pool. She swam for about 1 hour!!! She even had a second swim session in the evening and is amazing. She is jumping off the side of the pool, pushing of the steps and swimming, diving for objects under water and loves to splash and kick. All this excitement wore her out and she was sound asleep at 7pm - and slept until 7am this morning!!!!!!! All in all, it was a fun and full weekend. Gordon and I have a feeling that a dog may be in our near future........we shall see! Oh, the other picture of Gabby is something that she does all the time - she loves to pull all the pots and pans out of the cupboard and then find the matching lids. Gabby is now making her own breakfast as well. She loves to get the toast, push it down in the toaster and waits anxiously for it to "pop" up. She then helps put butter on her toast and carries it to the table all by herself! She then hops right on up into her chair is starts eating her toast - it is really cute to watch :)

Gabby at the beach
We went to the beach this weekend for Gabby's first real "beach" experience. She loved it! The first day we went early in the morning and we were the only people without wetsuits in the water! Gabby saw her first sting ray and we are happy that she successfully avoided it. The Sunday when we went back to the beach - we couldn't get her out of the water. She ventured far enough in that the life guard came to remind us that we were in the "surfing" zone and that we had to stay closer to the shore or move down the beach a little! She loved the sand but more than the sand, she loved the waves. Only once she was shivering did she decide it was OK to get out - that along with the promise of going dog hunting.
Gabby loves dogs and when we go to the beach, she loves to pet all the different dogs. It keeps us on our toes! This weekend we also inherited a cat and another dog - pretty soon we will be the crazy people with a ton of animals (if we aren't already???).
The other picture is of Gabby playing with my shoes. She loved the sound they made when she walked on the hard floors - we think the shoes may resemble skies :) We also are thinking that perhaps tap shoes are in her near future. Oh, don't miss the stickers in her hair. We have been playing with stickers and we especially love to put them in our hair and then ask mom to pull them out...but she will not wear any kind of hair clip!

The Bigler Band
This all started when I was tapping my hands on the couch today and told Gabby it was like a drum. She then went to her music box (a box full of musical instruments) and gabbed her 2 drum sticks and her drum. Everyone joined in. This is a snapshot of the session...but Gabby loved it. She was rocking (literally rocking back & forth) to the music. Gabby went to another music session a few weeks ago and several parents commented on how much Gabby loved the music and was into it - perhaps she has some rhythm?!
Children's Museum - San Diego
We went to the Children's Museum on Saturday morning. It was amazing! Gabby had a ball and will most definitely be returning. She got to ride in the cart (which was not as easy as it looks to drive), paint a whale (and her dress), play with chalk, dance in the rain house, jump in the bounce tunnel and ride a pony! There are so many wonderful and educational things to do at the museum and not only do the kids enjoy it but so do the parents!
