Gabby at the Park

These pictures are from this weekend at the local park. We had a wonderful weekend even though it was very windy and now Gabby is getting sick :( Yesterday at the local park, there was a festival welcoming summer - Gabby loved all the dogs there and hit a ball off a tee for the first time!!! We were amazed. She also had her first bounce house experience...and so did I!

If you look closely in the picture of Gabby & Gordon, you will see our new bike set-up. We got a bike trailer so that we can all go out for bike rides together. It works great - and I now understand how a spring can absorb all the energy one creates when going up hill! Gabby loves to ride in it and for the most part, leaves her glasses on.

Gabby and her cows

Gabby loves cows. She calls them "Moo". She has 3 of them - Mamma, Dada & Baby. Mamma Moo sings Old McDonald, Dada Moo doubles as a wonderful pillow and Baby Moo is to hide a bottle (back int he day when she would not take one). Gabby has eaten with Moo, slept with Moo and continues to try to give Moo a bath!

Gabby at the beach

These pictures are from last weekend in Del Mar. We enjoy beautiful evenings down by the beach and the best part is that we don't come home with the sand! Gabby enjoys all of the dogs that she gets to meet at the park and has learned what a Choo Choo train is!

Gabby on the big swings

Gabby is getting more and more brave on the big swings. It is a beautiful day here and Gabby is out and about. Her eyes are recovering and we are able to jump back into the pool this weekend (good thing because it is supposed to be 75 at the coast)!!

Gabby got her 1st Dog

Don't get too excited....it is just a stuffed dog - but she loves it! It is hard to believe but she is already blaming dog when we scold her for banging the mirror on the wall!!! She keeps telling and pointing to dog, indicating it is his fault. Too funny!

Gabby has been recovering nicely. Her eyes get clearer everyday but it is a process and will take a couple of weeks. Her vocabulary is expanding rapidly and she is mom's best helper when it comes to unloading the dishwasher, pulling all of her clothes out of her dresser and in getting/hanging up her feeding bibs. She really does like to be a part of everything we are doing.

She has a little scooter that she loves to ride, which is in addition to mom's back rides! Gabby had a great time with both Grandma's and was definitely spoiled rotten! This is a picture from the park today - She has dog and a swing - and feel sounds asleep in the swing!

Day 4 - Post Surgery

I missed getting a photo yesterday...but this is from this morning. Gabby's eyes are looking better and we are looking forward to our visit to Dr. Granet tomorrow.

Day 2 - Post Surgery

Gabby's eyes were still red but her spark returned. She is learning to draw excellent circles!

Day 1 - Post Surgery

These are photos the first day after surgery (04-30-10). Gabby's eyes were very red and swollen.
