Gabby's New Shades

Gabby got new shades! I know, I know...but these are her accessory item :) These are retro sunglasses from Baby Banz. Too Cool! It has been very hot here in San Diego for the last 3 days so Gabby has been enjoying the pool. We even did our first night swim on Thursday. It was the first time that Gabby had been in the pool at night and sh enjoyed the time with no sunglasses.

Gabby continues to enjoy swimming and is in the pool for up to 45 min a day! Gabby has a new friend at the pool named Elena - although they have not exchanged words yet, they like to sit and stare at each other. Elena is turning one but is prettu close in age.

Gabby got her first horse. She is not sure what to make of it yet. As Gordon would say...it just galloped right into my shopping cart :) The horse neighs and makes galloping noise. Right now Gabs is a little afraid of it and is trying to figure it all out.

We are going through a no-eating phase but I am hopeful that it will end soon. To be more correct, Gabby is eating but really only Cheerios and toast. She started eating turkey and swiss cheese as well. We also just started formula as I am starting the weaning process.

All in all, Gabby is doing great and continues to be a delight!

Gabby's teeth

Gabby is growing up quick! She now has 4 teeth and munches on everything. Gabby continues to get stronger everyday. She is starting to take steps and goes "no hands" to see how long she can stand on her own. She can go about 10 seconds!

Gabby also continues to enjoy the pool. She is very lucky as Gordon takes her swimming almost everyday! She sits on the edge of the pool and will fall forward into our arms, she kicks her legs and even puts part of her face in the water! We had our first full head dunking the other day in the bathtub...still no tears!

We got a full length mirror and Gabby loves it! She also really is getting good at the peek-a-boo game. She is starting to wait to pull the blanket off her head...a smart little girl.

Gabby really loves her books. The books that make cat and dog sounds are some of her favorite and she knows exactly where those buttons are at all times :) Her favorite book is the Barnyard Dance and she gets upset when the book is over!

Gabby is getting more and more curious about things and loves to open drawers and empty them. She is growing up fast!

Gabby's Personality

Every day is fun with Gabby. Saturday we went to the park and Gabby had her first "sting". We are not sure what it was that got her...but her right foot swelled up, got red and had a fever. Good thing is was just her foot :) She handled it like a champ and didn't even mind the ice cube we stuck on it after.

Yesterday we all went to a Padres game (Gabby's first). Her eye doctor invited us to the game along with the other doctors that she visits...I have to tell you, I've gone to a lot of baseball games and this is the way to do it! We were fortunate to be in the owners private box, which was great for Gabby so she could crawl around and not be in the direct sunlight. Dr. Granet and Dr. Zhang were both very pleased with her progress.

Today, she got her first bloody lip! That is what happens when you start walking (and she's not even 10 mos yet)! She gets more and more personality everyday and it is a lot of fun to watch. She already has papa wrapped around her little finger....
