Video of Gabby Swimming

Gabby's First Swimming Lesson

Last night (4/21/09) was Gabby's first adventure into the pool. As you can tell - she LOVED it!

Gabster

I snapped this photo on Sunday of this week. Her hat keeps her pretty warm so she gets to spend more and more time in her birthday suit! Gabby had a check up on Tuesday regarding her hat and she has made great progress. They took off some padding on the inside so that she had more room to grow and a little above her eyes.

Gabby is a SUPERSTAR!!!

Gabby has had an eventful week. Monday she had an appointment with Dr. Granet and the good news is that her eye pressure was still normal AND Dr. Granet told us that she definetly has some vision!!! We have decided to explore the contact lenses and will learn more about that next week.

Tuesday Gabby got her headband. It is temporary and she will only have to wear it for 2-4 months. We are exploring options for covering her eyes...from ski goggles to glasses to a visor! This was a prototype that Gordon made - very creative I must say! We will be decorating the headband with an ocean/Swimmy theme...stay tuned for more pictures!

Wednesday Gabby went to see Dr. Grayson and got her 6 month shots. Dr. Grayson was very impressed with Gabby's physical development. Gabby sits on her own and is threatening to crawl soon. Gabby weighed in at 15lbs 11.2 ozs, was 15.5 inches tall and her head was 17.25 (50%, 50% and 75% ranges respectively).

So all in all...lots of appointments this week but a great week! Enjoy the pictures.

Gabby on April 3, 2009

Gabby is sitting up on her own! She loves the independence and even when she falls over and knocks her head on the floor (much to Grnadmother Ann's dismay) she continues to smile and be happy. Gabby loved being at the farm this past weekend and "hammed" it up to the fullest. I don't think there were 5 mins. when someone wasn't holding her. More pictures to follow...
